First AIGA OC Mix Event of 2010

This Thursday, Jan. 21st from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Bluewater Grill in Tustin, the usual AIGA Mix event will include a special activity for the night: speed networking. Bring your business cards, elevator speeches and breath mints! The event is open to members (for free) and non-members ($10). Here is how it works:

• 6-8 people sit down on each side of a table.
• You have 3 minutes to greet the person across from you and briefly describe the type of work you do and the type of clients you want to have.
• An alarm will sound after 3 minutes and everyone moves over one seat.
• The round ends when you reach the end of the table and you’ve spoken with each person across the table.

NOTE: The first round will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Due to the number of attendees expected, there may only be time to complete two rounds. Arrive on time to ensure you get a turn, or arrive late if this sort of activity makes your heart drop into your stomach.
